望望家住在塔克拉玛干沙漠边缘的一个村子里，每天他都会和自己最好的小伙伴树树一起玩耍。两个小伙伴骑着马儿在沙漠中肆意奔驰，好不快活。没想乐极生悲，望望摔下了马，摔断了胳膊……

Wangwang lives in a village on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert.He plays with his best friend Shushu every day. They rode their horses quickly and happy in the desert. Suddenly, Wangwang fell off the horse and broke my arm. After joy comes sadness……

望望为了治病，第一次跟随爸爸去远在异乡的姑妈家，看见姑妈家周围的山上长满了很多笔直的参天大树，望望心生好奇的抱着树杆望了很久，这是他第一次看见这么高大挺拔的树木……

In order to get to a better medical treatment, Wangwang followed his father to his aunt's home where is far away with his hometown fist time. He saw many tall trees growing on the hills around his aunt's home. He looked at them curiously and hugged the tree trunk for a long time. This was the first time that he saw such tall and straight trees…

回家后，望望告诉爸爸要在家后面的沙包上种上很多很多像姑妈家山上一样的树，爸爸鼓励望望说：“爸爸支持你这个大大的愿望，那你以后要像爸爸和妈妈照顾你一样照顾好小树了……”

When Wangwang returned home, he told Dad that he wanted to plant a lot of trees on the sand pile behind the house what was like mountains at Aunt's hometown. Dad encouraged Wangwang and said, "Dad supports your big wishes, then you should take good care of the small trees like Dad and Mom take care of you..."

望望去找他的小伙伴树树说要在他们家后面的沙包上种上很多像他姑妈家一样的树，俩个小伙伴边滑沙边海阔天空的聊着关于种树的一切。

Wangwang found his friend Shushu and told him that he would plant many trees like his aunt's hometown on the sand pile behind their house. The two little buddies were skiing along the sand and talking about planting trees.

望望第一次拿了一根木棍插进沙包，“种”好树后，带树树来看他种的小树，不小心从小树头上骑了过去，树树看见说望望不许从小树头上骑过去，因为自己的名字叫树树……俩个小伙伴不欢而散。

This was the first time ,Wangwang take a stick into the sand pile,after "planting", he take Shushu to see the small tree whose planted by him. Shushu catch sight of Wangwang accidentally ride over the small tree .Shushu feel Very angry, because his name is Tree... The two little buddies part  in discord.

望望又回到小朋友的圈子里，被树树和其他的小朋友耻笑，他那段时间有些许失落，几乎忘记了他要种树的愿望。六岁生日那天，爸爸和妈妈送给了他一颗盆栽的小树苗，望望高兴坏了，生日蛋糕都不吃，就要去种树，在爸爸的建议下，望望重新选了沙窝，将小树苗移栽成功，并在树树和其他小朋友跟前炫耀他的小树栽种成功了。望望一如既往的提水浇灌。有天望望和小朋友们玩耍忘记给小树浇水，就和小朋友们撒尿给小树，这一幕刚好被树树看见。望望去提水的时候，树树把小树苗拔了出来，还将头上一截撇断，恶狠狠的看着望望。树树被冲上来的望望按翻在地，俩人打了起来，滚下沙包。俩人一直从中午撕扯到下午，最终树树爸爸签应赔望望一根树苗才回家吃饭。

Wangwang back to the children, he was laughed at by Shushu and other children. During that time, he was upset and almost forgot his wish to plant trees. On his sixth birthday, his father and mother gave him a potted saplings. He was so happy that he planted trees without eating the cake. At his father's suggestion, he chose a new sand nest, transplanted the saplings successfully, and showed off his success in planting the saplings to Shushu and other children. Wangwang water the trees every day. One day Wangwang and the children played but forgot to water the tree. They urinated to the tree with their friends . It happened to be seen by Shushu. When Wangwang pick up water, Shushu pulled out the saplings and cut a section of its head off, and looked at Wangwang viciously. Shushu was rushed up and knock on the ground by Wangwang. They fought and rolled down the sandpile. They had been tearing from noon to afternoon. Wangwang didn't have dinner until shushu’s  Dad promise to pay for a seedling.

有天放学回家路上，树树和其他几个小朋友堵住望望，像是又要打架的样子，不料树树手里端了一支盆栽树苗走向望望……俩个小朋友冰释前嫌，友谊也随之变得更加浓厚了。

One day, on the way home from school,Shushu and several other children stopped Wangwang, as if they were going to fight again. Shushu took a potted seedling in its hand and went to Wangwang but fighting…. Wangwang and Shushu were reconciled like befor.They friendship became stronger.

一天，两个小朋友听着驼铃声，聊着只有他们自己才能听懂的故事……，一支驼队经过小树，其中一只骆驼一口咬住了小树，连根将小树拔起，边吃边向沙漠中走去。望望一个惊醒，跑向小树的位置，发现小树已经不见了，望望赶紧向骆驼行走的方向追去，树树也紧追上去，不料一个趔趄滚下沙包，爬起来继续朝着望望的方向追去，烈日炙烤着沙漠，树树被烤的没有了力气，虚弱的朝着望望的方向喊着。不一会儿，风沙漫天，沙尘暴来袭，望望的爸爸和树树的爸爸等人一起冲进沙尘暴，寻找着两个孩子，望望的爸爸找到了树树，可是望望却一直没出现……

One day, two children listened to the camel bell and talked about stories that only understand by themselves. A group of camels passed by a small tree. One of the camels bit at the tree, pulled it up by the roots, ate and walked towards the desert. Wangwang wake-up, running to the position of the small tree, found that the small tree has disappeared .Wangwang catch up in the direction of the camel's walk, Shushu also catches up, unexpectedly, a stagger rolled down the sand dune, climbed up and continued to follow the direction of the wangwang, the burning sun burning the desert, Shushu was roasted out of strength, shouting weak in the direction of Wangwang. After a while, the sandstorm came, Wangwang’s father , Shushu’s father and others rushed into the sandstorm , looking for two children. Wangwang’s father found shushu, but Wangwang never appeared.

沙尘暴过后，小望望的一只鞋子漏在沙子外面，望望的爸爸疯了似得在附近寻找，不停的用手扬起沙粒，挖了好几个大坑，才从沙粒中找见小望望，望望已经被沙子埋了很久，停止了呼吸……

After the sandstorm, a shoe of Wangwang leaked out of the sand. His father looked for Wangwang, seems like he was crazy. He kept raising the sand with his hands and dug several big pits. Finally he find Wangwang from the sand. Wangwang had been buried in the sand for a long time and stopped breathing.

树树的语文老师在批改作业时发现树树的作文《沙》写的生动，情感至深，将这篇作文投递到了全国小学生作文大赛。过了些日子，老师收到了《沙》得奖的消息。

Shushu's Chinese teacher found that Shushu's composition "Sha" was vivid and emotional when he corrected his homework. He delivered this composition to the National Primary School Students'Composition Contest. Some days later, the teacher received the news that Sand won the prize.

树树在参加颁奖典礼的时候，朗读了这篇作文，树树的演讲的视频和作文在网络点播次数超过300万，500万，1000万次……更多的人知道了望望和树树的故事，“他的愿望是将眼前的这一片沙漠全部变成绿洲！”

When Shushu attended the award ceremony, he read the composition aloud. The video and composition of Tree Tree's speech were broadcast on demand more than 3 million times, 5 million times and 10 million times on the Internet. More people know the story of Wangwang and Shushu. "His wish is to turn all the desert into an oasis!"

半年后，树树在治沙绿化专业人员的帮助下，在他和望望原来种树的地方，种活了第一颗树。

Half a year later, with the help of the professionals of sand control and greening, the first tree was planted alive in the place where is original tree planting by Shushu and Wangwang.

Biographies of Characters

望望：8岁,虎头虎脑的小男孩，憨厚可爱，有责任心。因为看到姑妈家的树林，梦想着在自己家的沙漠种出一片森林，执着的在沙丘上种树，却因各种原因屡次失败。在种树的过程他和树树的友谊却越来越深厚。

Wangwang: Eight-year-old, tiger-headed boy, simple and lovely, with a sense of responsibility. Because seeing the woods of his aunt's house, he dreamed of planting a forest in desert and planting trees on the sand dunes persistently, but he failed repeatedly for various reasons. In the process of planting trees, his friendship with Shushu became deeper and deeper.

树树：9岁，聪明机灵的小男孩，敏感细腻。望望的好朋友，先是因为一次误会而破坏望望种树，友谊破裂，到后来冰释前嫌与望望一起种树，望望去世后,努力的替望望实现把沙漠变成森林的愿望。

Shushu:Nine years old, clever and smart boy, sensitive and delicate. Wangwang’s good friends, because of a misunderstanding that destroy Wangwang planting trees. 

From that moment on ,their friendship breaks down, and then be reconciled. After Wangwang death, he strive to realize for Wangwang’wishes ,turning the desert into forest.

望望爸爸：40岁，对待孩子有耐心，性格幽默和善，对望望种树      

非常支持，懂得慢慢的引导孩子学习知识，对孩子言传身

教的教育。

Wangwang’s father :40 years old, patient with children, humorous and kind, support Wangwang to planting trees,know how to guide children to learn knowledge, to pass on their words and deeds to children.

望望妈妈：42岁，性格急躁，大嗓门，表面对望望严厉，实则腻

爱孩子。

Wangwang’s mother :42 years old, impatient personality, loud voice, Apparently harsh with children, actually doting on children.

树树爸爸：41岁，不苟言笑，对树树的要求和期望都非常高。

Shushu’s father ；Forty-one years old, very conscientious, very high demands and expectations for Shushu.
